Thank you dear readers! The Trek Continues hits Amazon Bestseller list!September 2026. Publisher Pawpress wants to say a big thank you to all Chester L. Richards readers for making The Trek Continues: More memoirs of a rocket scientist, a bestseller on Amazon. You echo our own hearts when we first started the publishing journey with Mr. Richards. We love his warm, heartfelt tales, and his amazing feats as he beats back crocodiles, protective parent hippos, hangs on as a plane he's aboard is heading for the drink. All mixed in with tales of scientific breakthroughs and all told with his signature wit. And we love the fact that he considers invaluable and dear the people he's met along the way, those who are the movers and shakers in various rocketry programs he worked on, like getting us to the moon, and folks he meets wherever he goes. Because to him, everyone has a story. And he always wants to know more. You'll see in interviews he's been doing people are the most important treasures to him, beyond the actual work. Of course, also like many of us, he lost his spouse of many years. Sarah was his great love, and he was devastated. But what is key to him as a person is the way he began to heal by writing down the stories his dear Sarah loved. Now, it's twenty years since her passing. He misses her every day. But he has built a very full life, writing playing a huge part. As does laughing. The Trek Continues is the second in his series, Treks Beyond the Great Potato. Fans of these two books will be happy to know we're working on Book #3. Meantime, please check Richards' calendar page to see where he'll be appearing in interviews, and to catch some you may have missed. The interviewers touch on various facets of his multi-layered life, from co-writing "The Tholian Web" for Star Trek®, to what the significance of the Star Trek zeitgeist involves for us all, to wild adventures as well as adventures at home, to more about the remarkable Sarah, and new life-threatening, thrilling and embarrassing moments. All grist for the ever-active curiosity of Chester L. Richards, born storyteller. And lucky for those of us who like to experience these adventures, if not live, from the safety of an armchair at home.

From Chester L. Richards
Hello, and happy to see you here! A little about what's behind these stories: Having retired from the world of aerospace engineering, I now spend time reading, inventing, listening to music, taking photographs and sharing them with friends. And writing stories. Often about people I've met as I've traveled to exotic places, learned about music, surfing, white water rafting, optics, photography. Coming soon are more new stories not in my books. Every story is true. I hope you enjoy them. Archives
